Uploaded bills are processed for your comparison. BillDiff does not save the original uploaded files to its database, file storage, or local disk.

BillDiff is designed to explain what changed on your bill without building a permanent library of the documents you upload.
What we use
BillDiff extracts only the billing details needed to explain changes, such as provider, billing dates, totals, charges, discounts, credits, and future price-change notices.
Identity details
Names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, full account numbers, and payment credentials are excluded from BillDiff's comparison data.
Service processing
Uploaded bills may pass through service providers required to securely process the comparison. If you choose to contribute, BillDiff may keep a limited normalized record of pricing and bill-change facts from that comparison. The original uploaded files are still not saved by BillDiff.
No account required
The current version does not require a BillDiff account and does not maintain a personal history of the bills you analyze.
As BillDiff grows
Contributing is optional and off by default. Choosing not to contribute does not prevent you from using the bill comparison. Contribution records are designed to exclude names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, full account numbers, payment credentials, filenames, and raw bill text.
